why blog?

Why should I start a blog? I have no idea. I have never had the desire to start a blog. I am not a great writer, my grammar is poor, and I think my life is pretty dull. I asked on facebook if I should start a blog, and I got various responses. My mother said, "yup". Someone else said only if I write stuff. Another person said I have 5 kids and a deployed husband how could I not have something to write about.

So here I am... I started a blog.

I will start by telling you a little bit about my self. I am a stay at home mom (SAHM) to 5 wonderful (most of the time) kiddos. Alison is 9, a girly girl, social, and very helpful. Mickey is 4 days away from being 7. He is a shy, giving child. Delaney is my spirited child. She loves gymnastics and is good at everything she tries. Matt is 3. He is a turd, I mean a great kid. He is giving me the most grief right now. Most of my funny (at least to you) stories will come from my days with him. Willow is the baby. She is 4 months old, born at home, and has yet to meet her father. She loves to be held all the time.

I have been married for 10 years to my dear husband (dh), Eric, for 10 years. He has deployed with the army twice. He has been to Iraq with the 172nd SBCT (Stryker Brigade Combat Team). That deployment lasted 16 months. He is now deployed with 5/2 SBCT in Afghanistan. I don't like this deployment anymore than the last.

So there is a little bit about myself. If you have more questions, please, ask.
Also if you have any ideas about what I should blog about let me know. I have no idea what I am doing here. So again I ask, why blog?
