We moved! Yup, we sure did. It only took 3 years, 8 months, and 15 days:) My time in Washington was full of good and bad, and good from bad. I don't think I have ever cried as much as I did in Washington. Be it from personal hurt to other's pain, to joyful tears, and laughter. I will never forget my time in Washington.
Now on to Georgia...We left on Friday night the 15th of July...we had the trailer hooked up and was being directed out of the driveway, and was told that that something was going wrong...so got out of the car and let another do the getting out of the driveway...(purposely not naming names ;)

We finally got out of the driveway just to have the stabilizer bar come off one side of the trailer...I pull off to the side of the road to fix it...Eric pulls over in the huge Penske truck to help... Then we get back on the road. Eric calls for Gunner....he calls for Gunner again. Then he asks Matt where Gunner is...Matt says "Oh he got out when you stopped" So Eric turns around to get Gunner....Luckily a military family stopped and picked him up and held on to him for us. They were going to call him in if Eric had not shown back up. Then we were finally on our way...on I-5 ready to go...Even if we only made it to Portland that night, that was good enough for me...
70 miles later...I noticed there was white smoke coming out of the exhaust...

That's not my truck pulling my trailer
So after that mishap...we decided to have Eric drive on ahead of me to Georgia. He took the 2 dogs, and 2 kids (Matt and Delaney). I was picked up by my friend Katie and she took me back to her house. She said I could stay as long as I needed to...I didn't want to be there. We came up with a plan...We thought, I should just go ahead and take the zippy car. That's what I did. I left the next day. I went to Kelso/Longview and packed the necessities into the zippy car. |
